Gentle day in Fowey

We are in Mixtow Pill, just half a mile up river from Fowey town, on a pontoon in a quiet backwater. Very peaceful. Had a slap-up breakfast at a little cafe in the boatyard, a rare change from our onboard porridge or cereal. The only problem here is the complete lack of O2 mobile broadband (and no wifi, though we don't blame them for that), so we have to blog by email with no pics.

We managed to while away the day doing very little, as the weather alternated between cloudy sun and sudden furious rain.  Did a few tasks on the snagging list and read and chatted to other boat crews -this pontoon takes 6 visitors, and people come and go.  Watched the cows on the hillside. Lesley saw an egret. Bucolic scenes.
